Review

Livestation 2.3 is a TV-streaming application for many platforms. The fact that it works on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X is what makes this application so successful. The application is simple enough to tackle the misconception that TV-streaming is a hard activity. Well, this application comes as ready as streaming will ever get. All you have to do is select one of the many channels that are available for playback and hit "play." The channel will connect, and if you are lucky, it will start playing. You can play video on a small window or go full screen for better quality. There are many channels available, but some channels, usually those added by users, are not often playable. Some channels are not live, meaning that if you connect to a certain channel, you will always see the same content. However, the channels that are sponsored by Livestation are all watchable and have good quality. There aren't any freezes or crashes and the content is live. That is not the case with many P2P TV applications I have tried before. You can also rate videos and comment them, to give them a better fuzz level. The application works great in Windows and Mac OS X. Stability is great and the wide selection of content should at least get you interested enough to try Livestation.
Advantages
  • Great selection of channels.
  • Really stable.
Disadvantages
  • Not all of them work well enough.
